AND.. I was invited recently to participate in a remarkable project titled "The HERO Art Project" curated by Arthouse.nyc in New York. 

The project pairs artists with families who have lost love ones to Covid-19 who were health care workers fighting the pandemic. The family is able to choose an artist to represent their family member, then they are gifted the portrait. Images of the portraits are displayed in various ways publicly to bring awareness and recognition to these generous souls.

I was paired with Dr Laurie Ann Douglas, a Dr of Nursing who worked tirelessly at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and lost her life in 2021. Here is the portrait that I did for Laurie Ann's family.
